The Restoration Project

The purpose of the Restoration Project is to provide President Biden's transition team and administration a researched, curated, and prioritized list of the most critical environmental harms done by the Trump administration and for each harm describe the potential restorative actions.

As the designer on this project, I worked with the former Director of the National Parks Service (Jon Jarvis) and former Science Advisor to the National Parks Service (Gary Machlis) to create all visuals to represent the years of research they had compiled.

The project consisted of digital assets, briefing sheets, two printed booklets (Part 1 as a condensed overview), and Part 2 (almost 125 pages) that gave detailed information and action steps that can be taken to reverse the environmental harms of the Trump administration. The materials were distributed to the Biden transition team as a plan of action.

I created a system of icons and colors to organize and create cohesion across all pieces. Through all the materials, I relied on a simple, easy to read layout to make the complicated material as easy to digest as possible.
